Tour to Mackinac Island - Tuesday, October 14

Starting from the Inn at Bay Harbor, the group will board luxury motor coachs and depart for historic Mackinac Island. Travel through picturesque Northern Michigan on the route north and take in the beautiful fall foliage, which should be in prime color. Once in Mackinaw City, the buses will cross the Mackinac Bridge, the fifth longest suspension bridge in the world. This 8,614 foot bridge spans the Straits of Mackinac to connect the Upper and Lower peninsulas of the State of Michigan. Then, board a hydro-jet ferry to historic Mackinac Island. Step back in time as you step off the ferry and explore everything this island has to offer. The highlight of the tour will be a visit to the famous Grand Hotel. Located high on a bluff, the Hotel's famous 660-foot porch is visible when approaching the Island by ferry boat. You'll also be delighted by the delicious and legendary Grand Luncheon Buffet. After having time to explore the remainder of the island, you'll board the ferry and the bus to travel back to Bay Harbor.

The buses will make an optional stop in Petoskey. One bus will continue to run between Petoskey and Bay Harbor for the evening to accommodate those participants who would like to stay in Petoskey and have dinner before returning to the hotel.

This tour is included in the participant/student registration price. Accompanying persons can purchase tickets to attend this tour as well.
